Become a Member of NSG

By joining NSG, you become part of a trusted professional community dedicated to raising standards in gastrointestinal and liver health throughout Nepal. Membership offers access to education, research, networking, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact on patient care and public health.

Membership Types

Active Membership

For gastroenterologists and physicians with recognized postgraduate training in gastroenterology or related fields. Grants full membership rights, including participation in events, voting, and governance.

Associate Membership

For physicians in training, allied-health professionals, or medical practitioners interested in gastroenterology who do not yet meet full membership criteria. Offers access to educational events, resources, and networking.

Honorary Membership

For individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of gastroenterology — in research, education, or community health — whether within Nepal or abroad. Honorary members enjoy the privileges of membership, often without standard dues.

Code of Conduct & Membership Conditions
  • Applicants must hold valid and recognized qualifications (for Active membership).
  • Members are expected to uphold ethical medical practices and professional standards.
  • Membership privileges may be revoked if dues remain unpaid beyond a specified period, or if conduct disputes arise compromising NSG’s objectives.
  • Active participation in at least one society event or scientific meeting every 2–3 years is encouraged for maintaining membership status.
